I find that when I look at pictures by really good photographers such as Trey Ratcliff and Colby Brown, I become inspired and humbled all at the same time. If I am ever feeling like “hey i’m a pretty good photographer” all I need to do to come back to reality is to look at a couple of pictures that they have taken. I do believe that this process is good for my photographic creativity, whenever I feel like I am doing a good job as a photographer, I seem to take better pictures and be more creative in my photography. I think is important that I also remember that I have much more to learn and that I am far from my dream of being a truly good photographer. Although looking at other photographers work nocks me back into my place, it also inspires me, it gives me new ideas on possible shots and techniques. Thats why I am particularly looking forward to next week when I will be going a miniature photography tour, I say miniature because its only going to be two or three days, but its going to be two or three days of photography. While I am on the topic of photography tours, my spring break trip is back on. I think that if you want to become a good photographer, you must first look at lots of good photography.
